24th Street Stormceptor MAX at Ogden Storm Pond West

The Stormceptor® MAX was installed upstream of a new dry detention pond, called Ogden Pond, as a stormwater pre-treatment solution. The Stormceptor MAX and dry pond will manage water quality and runoff volume from the 54-hectare redevelopment that discharges into the Bow River. The Stormceptor-to-Pond treatment train will help protect the river from the increased sediment, oil, and stormwater pollution loading from ever-increasing urban growth.

Hélène-Boullé street stormwater runoff treated by Stormceptor® EF

Ville de Broucherville took advantage of the repairs to the Hélène-Boullé and Darontal Streets in order to improve the management of the sector’s stormwater. The stormwater in the neighborhood was conveyed directly to Sabrevios Creek, which is a sensitive environment where many fish live. The city wanted to reduce the total suspended solids (TSS) released in this watercourse. The city had an area of 5.07 Ha with a 49% imperviousness and a treatment flow rate of 263L/s. The city wanted to remove 40% TSS in order to reduce the amount of TSS entering the creek.
