TORONTOSept. 28, 2017 /CNW/ -- Imbrium Systems announced today the release of its newest stormwater treatment technology – the Stormceptor EF (Enhanced Flow).

Stormceptor EF is a continuation and evolution of the most globally recognized oil grit separator (OGS) stormwater treatment technology - Stormceptor.  The enhanced flow "EF" Stormceptor is a high-performing OGS that effectively removes and retains pollutants such as sediment (TSS), free oils and gross pollutants from stormwater and snowmelt runoff at higher flow rates.

The Stormceptor EF has been third-party performance tested for sediment removal, scour protection, as well as oil capture and retention, making this unit a true oil and grit separator.  Stormceptor EF offers engineers superior design flexibility by accepting flow from a single inlet pipe, multiple inlet pipes, and an inlet grate. The system also accommodates a 90-degree inlet to outlet bend angle and can operate in tailwater conditions.

"Engineers and regulatory agencies have been waiting for a more robust oil grit separator that effectively removes both sediment and oil from stormwater without scouring," said Scott Perry, Director for Imbrium Systems. "Imbrium is proud to have developed an enhanced, flexible, and performance tested OGS product to fill this need, but we are even prouder that Stormceptor will continue to provide the best protection for Canada's waterways."

The Stormceptor EF will be designed, manufactured, and sold through Imbrium's network of value-added licensees, including; Forterra, Lecuyer, The Langley Group, LaFarge, and Stresscon.
